Hubei Province releases the first batch of "new species" enterprise list, with 214 companies from Optics Valley selected - Wuhan Siyou Optoelectronics selected

On October 19th, the 10th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Competition (New Materials, New Energy, New Energy Vehicles, Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection) was launched at the Optics Valley Technology Exhibition Center. The competition aims at "new tracks" and highlights "hard technology", with 452 companies divided into start-up and growth groups for competition.

At the same time as the competition, innovation demand conferences and enterprise docking activities were held for technology, talent, supply chain, and other areas. Dai Zhen, founder and CEO of Nenglian Group, Wu Wensheng, General Manager of Beijing Great Wall Strategic Consulting, Zhang Shi, Partner and CEO of Yidu Cloud, Shen Fanghong, Chairman of Zhongchuang Wei Quantum, Wu Suiping, co-founder and CEO of Haige Technology, Chang Lin, co-founder and CEO of Leju Robotics, Chen Ziwu, Chairman and CEO of Niukafu Technology, Zhang Yichun, Chairman of Zhongshang Huimin, Yan Jun, founder and Chairman of Aiparked, and a group of domestic "unicorn" enterprise representatives visited Guanggu and had discussions.

The first batch of Hubei Sci Tech Innovation "New Species" Enterprise List and Development Report will be released at the meeting. The first batch of "new species" includes 2 "moose" enterprises, 3 "unicorn" enterprises, 11 "potential unicorn" enterprises, and 527 "gazelle" enterprises. These enterprises are all distributed in new economic fields such as new technologies, new industries, new models, and new formats.

Among these 543 enterprises, 320 are from Wuhan, accounting for about 60% of the total. Among them, 214 are from Donghu High tech Zone, accounting for about 40% of the province and 66% of the city.

Hubei's new species enterprises are representatives of high-energy innovation entities, with characteristics such as new development fields, strong innovation capabilities, and fast growth rates. Although the COVID-19 pandemic had a certain impact in 2020, new species enterprises in the province still achieved growth against the trend, making positive contributions to post pandemic economic recovery and demonstrating the strong vitality of the new economy and new driving forces.
